Before You Start
- GoldMindy Pro plan required for Notion archive
- A Notion account (free tier works)
- Chrome browser
Step 1 — Create a Notion Integration
- Go to notion.so/my-integrations
- Click New integration
- Name it anything — e.g.
GoldMindy - Under Capabilities, make sure these are checked:
- ✅ Read content
- ✅ Update content
- ✅ Insert content
- Click Save
- Copy the Internal Integration Secret — it looks like
secret_abc123...
⚠️ "Update content" is required for GoldMindy to auto-create database columns on first use.
Step 2 — Create Your Notion Database
You need a full-page database (not an inline database) to use with GoldMindy.
Option A — Start fresh:
- Create a new page in Notion
- Type
/database→ select Table - Full page - Name it anything, e.g.
AI Knowledge Vault
Option B — Use an existing database:
Any existing database works. GoldMindy will auto-add columns on first archive.
Step 3 — Share the Database with Your Integration
This step is the most commonly missed.
- Open your Notion database
- Click ··· (top right) → Connections
- Search for the integration you just created → click Confirm
Without this step, GoldMindy cannot write to your database.
Step 4 — Get Your Database ID
Open your database in a browser. The URL looks like this:
https://www.notion.so/your-workspace/abc123def456...?v=xyz
The Database ID is the 32-character string after the last / and before the ?:
abc123def456... ← copy this part
GoldMindy accepts the full URL or just the ID — both work.
Step 5 — Configure GoldMindy
- Open GoldMindy (click the extension icon or diamond button)
- Click the ⚙️ settings icon
- Scroll to Archive Hub
- Paste your Integration Secret into
Notion Key - Paste your Database ID into
Database ID - Click Save
Step 6 — Archive Your First Card
- Go to the Intake or Vault tab in GoldMindy
- Check the cards you want to archive
- Click the Notion icon in the header
On first archive, GoldMindy will automatically add these columns to your database if they don't exist:
| Column | Type | Content |
|---|---|---|
Capture At | Date | Exact time the card was captured |
Source URL | URL | The page where you copied the response |
Tags | Multi-select | AI-generated tags (if card has been refined) |
Platform | Select | ChatGPT / Claude / Gemini / etc. |
Each card becomes a structured Notion page — title, source info, AI summary, full response, and tags, all formatted as proper Notion blocks.
Batch Archive
You can archive multiple cards at once:
- Check multiple cards in Intake or Vault
- Click the Notion icon
- All selected cards are archived in one go, each as its own Notion page
Batch limits:
- Pro: up to 20 cards per batch
- Free (trial credits): up to 5 cards per batch
FAQ
Q: Can I use an existing database that already has my own columns?
A: Yes. GoldMindy only adds columns that don't exist yet. Your existing structure is untouched.
Q: The archive failed — what went wrong?
A: Most common causes:
- Integration not connected to the database (Step 3 was skipped)
- Wrong Database ID
- Integration key expired or copied incorrectly
Q: I see "Tags" column but it's empty.
A: Tags are generated by AI refinement (The Forge). Run refinement on the card first, then archive.
Q: Does archiving delete the card from GoldMindy?
A: No. Cards stay in Intake after archiving. Delete them manually if you want to free up space.
Q: Columns weren't auto-created in my database.
A: This is a permissions issue. Go to notion.so/my-integrations, edit your integration, and make sure Update content is enabled. Then re-archive.
