Free vs Pro Export
GoldMindy's Obsidian export works on both Free and Pro — but the experience differs:
| Free | Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Single card download | ✓ auto filename | ✓ filename dialog |
| Multiple cards | Single concatenated .md | Individual .md per card, bundled as .zip |
| YAML frontmatter | ✓ (basic) | ✓ (full: platform, source, aliases, tags) |
| Obsidian callouts | — | ✓ ([!SUMMARY], [!INFO]) |
| Filename prefix | — | ✓ |
If you're on Free and want the full Obsidian experience, you can upgrade to Pro at goldmindy.com/pricing.

What Each Pro Note Contains
Each exported note includes YAML frontmatter with created, platform, source, aliases (the question you asked), and tags — plus an Obsidian [!SUMMARY] callout if you ran AI refinement, followed by the full AI response.
The aliases field is especially useful: it stores the original question, so you can find notes in Obsidian's Quick Switcher (Cmd/Ctrl + O) by searching what you asked — even if the note title is different.
In Settings → Archive, you can also set a filename prefix (Pro) — useful for filtering all GoldMindy notes in your vault at a glance. No plugins required.
FAQ
Q: Do I need any Obsidian plugin?
A: No. GoldMindy notes use standard Obsidian-native syntax — callouts, YAML frontmatter, aliases. Everything works with a plain Obsidian install.
Q: Will the AI summary and tags be there automatically?
A: Tags and summaries come from AI refinement in The Forge. Run refinement on your cards first, then export — the Pro note will include the [!SUMMARY] callout and tag list.
Q: What if I export without running AI refinement?
A: The note still exports cleanly — just without the summary callout and tags. The full response, source, and platform fields are always included.
Q: Can I use my own folder structure in the vault?
A: Yes. Just drop the files into whatever subfolder you like. GoldMindy doesn't dictate vault structure.
